Accelerator Program

The Low Carbon Technology Accelerator program, under Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) - a project implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) ... and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and supported by Global Environment Facility (GEF), brings together early-stage cleantech and climate tech start-ups with seasoned mentors from the cleantech/climate tech ecosystem in the country to provide them with hands-on guidance to improve their business prospects.

Who Can Apply

Registered start-ups with technologies and products/services currently at early prototype stage are encouraged to apply. Innovator teams may be considered during selection and are required to register their startup as soon as possible (preferably before the program is formally launched). The thematic focus areas for the Low Carbon Technology Accelerator are as follows:

  • Industrial Low Green House Gas Technologiesh
  • Commercial and Residential Low GHG Tech
  • Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things
  • Energy Storage Technologies
  • Food and Agriculture
  • Resource Efficiency

Incentives For Participation

  • Access to a large pool of curated mentors from the national cleantech/climate tech ecosystem, UNIDO – GCIP and FLCTD ecosystem.
  • Mentors are mapped as per the development level and specific needs of the cohort members and each cohort member gets to work with a core mentor group and other mentors.
  • Intensive capacity building on skills required for business success
    (from prototype to minimal viable product to minimal viable revenue and subsequent scale-up) by established industry experts.
  • On Demo-day, all start-ups get the opportunity to present their fundraising pitch to a curated panel of investors.
  • Opportunity to participate in FLCTD Annual Innovation Challenge
