Technology Transfer

FLCTD project aims to strengthen the cleantech technology transfer ecosystem by providing technical support to strengthen the deployment ecosystem for low-carbon technologies in the country.

Globally, experts agree that technology transfer (TT) is a specialist area that requires skilled interdisciplinary human resources for successful execution. Therefore, the program envisaged developing and delivering a country-specific foundational training and capacity-building program on Technology Transfer.

FLCTD endeavours to enhance the functioning of Technology Transfer offices (TTOs) and centres through a two-step process:

1.

Identification of key areas that can be targeted through a capacity-building program.

A consultative study to identify and address the factors that inhibit technology transfer from laboratories and higher education institutes to industries. This collaborative effort focused on :

2.

Capacity-building program on Technology transfer offices and practitioners.

Using the findings in the study, the FLCTD project has started engaging national and international partners to develop a high-quality foundational program that will focus on :

Introductory Modules Importance of TT and the process of doing TT
TT Function Core TT skills such as negotiation, deal design, term sheet, Technology Readiness Level assessment and valuation
TT Administration Budgeting, Reporting and performance evaluation of TTO functioning
